Sticking to a Goal

Make a public commitment🌪️

We were in fifth grade when Prashant, Anish, and I always had this competition going to see how many Great Stories in English Language books we had read. This was a series of abridged versions of classic English novels for school kids, published by S Chand Publications.

During that time, we pursued these short books with enthusiasm, with no distractions like mobiles or TV— just comics and cricket to pass time.

Back then, our parents kept us away from these 2 things that today’s parents invest a lot of money in.

Since then, I’ve always harbored a desire to write a novel, or something akin to it.

Time has gone by like a river, with moments of observation and times of immersion. As I approach my 50th birthday, next year, I aspire to release a book on that day.

The book should span at least 200 pages, and it can be either fiction or non-fiction. Doesn’t matter if no-one buys it ☺️

This is my public commitment towards my goal. And a whisper in the mighty Universe🌪️
